Tips for Buying Mens Bowling Shoes

  • Style
  • What kind of bowling shoe style do you want to wear? Mens bowling shoes come in many different colors and fashions. There are ones that look like sneakers. Ones that look like the traditional rental shoe with a leather upper and even ones that come in funky colors.

  • Skill Level
  • The bowlers skill level may give more indication as to the type of bowling shoe needed. If this is the first pair of shoes, you may want to start out with a beginner level shoe, a basic shoe with not a lot of bells and whistles. A more intermediate or advanced show will come with extras such as interchangeable slides for the bottom of the shoes, special left handed or right handed shoes, cushioned tongue and collar, as well as a replaceable cushion inside the shoe.

  • Cost
  • Of course the more bells and whistles the more expensive the shoe. For a bowler who is bowling for fun, an entry level shoe should be fine. If the bowler is more advanced, the shoe will most likely cost more.

  • Size and Comfort
  • A bowling shoe should fit comfortably on the foot. You do not want a shoe that is too tight or too lose. The foot should have a slight bit of room to breathe.

  • Brand
  • There are many different well known brands of mens bowling shoes to choose from. Some of the more well known brands are Dexter, Brunswick, Etonic, Elite and others.

By taking all of these points into consideration, you should come out with the best pair of mens bowling shoes for the bowler in question.
